TikTok is the latest social media platform that has seen unprecedented uptake since its release in September 2016.

It has risen rapidly through the ranks to become one of the top social media contenders in the game, and for good reason.

TikTok is something of a marketers dream, and has some of the highest session times and engagement rates out of all the social media platforms out there.

It comes as no surprise that there are now TikTok bots available on the market to automate specific tasks, such as following, unfollowing, commenting, and liking posts.

We wanted to get to grips with what bots are out there, how well they perform and if they are worth considering for influencers and marketers.

How Do You Protect Your Tik Tok Account From Getting Banned?

Bans have been around for a while on social media, and they are there for good reason.

They stop users from abusing the limits to perpetuate their own growth, and this can make it challenging at times to grow your followers.

These limits will always be in place, so the best thing you can do to protect your TikTok account is to use a mobile proxy.

A mobile proxy means that your connection to TikTok is the same as a mobile browser, ensuring that your trust score is unaffected if you do happen to breach the limits.

It is important to remember that getting a block and being banned are two different things, as outlined below:

  • A block usually means you have been blocked from performing actions
  • A ban is when your account is removed from the service either temporarily or permanently

Why Is Your TikTok Account Blocked?

Your TikTok account can be blocked for a variety of reasons.

It usually happens when:

  • You follow too many people too quickly
  • You like too many posts
  • You comment too often
  • Your comments are spammy in nature
  • You post something that is against the community guidelines

If you follow the TikTok community guidelines and don’t post anything obscene, you probably won’t encounter any problems whatsoever.

What are the main reasons your account will be banned?

“Engaging in Cyberbullying/ harassment or hate speech content or inciting hatred against an individual or a group of people based on their race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, culture, disability, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, or any other discrimination could lead to ban” according to the community guidelines.

  • Nudity Posts – This is an obvious reason and one that has caused many people trouble on Instagram. No social media company wants nudity on their platform, notably one with a younger audience. It’s good advice to keep all videos clean.
  • Posting Guns or Illegal Drugs Posts – Any posts relating to guns or drugs are against the community guidelines and you may receive a lengthy ban.
  • Posting Copyrighted Content Posts – It’s recommended not to repurpose any copyright content in your TikTok videos. Creating clear copies of other popular users’ videos can result in shadow ban.

How Long Does A TikTok ban Last?

The most common time for the ban is roughly 14 days.

However, if you persistently break the community guidelines you may receive a longer, indefinite ban.

How do you deal with a shadow ban?

You can wait if your account is popular. Alternatively, you can create a new Tik Tok account.

Some users mention that their IP address is blocked entirely, so the only way to remedy it is to change your IP address.
